Major Boys 2019 Harvest Cup Champions

     The Major Boys Black Team from Warwick Little League District 19 won the Harvest Cup Tournament, defeating the Pine Bush Purple Major Boys Baseball Team at Chester Little League Fields.

     The team manager is Dominic Berlingieri, and coaches are Thomas Roome and Danish Yazdani. Players are Domenico Berlingieri, Dax Yazdani, William Roome, Thomas Scarpaci, Jayden Obregon, Steven Magoch, Joseph Sanzone, Zachary Pritchard, Tristan Sasse, Ryan Youpis, Tommy Knox, and Thelo Kastan.

Warwick LL Board of Directors

On Tuesday October 1st, the Warwick Little League held its annual elections for the Board or Directors. 

After years of dedicated service as volunteer members of the Warwick Little League Board, the following have announced their retirement.

Roger Showalter, David Bogedal, Charlotte Garofalo

Their dedication and commitment to the Little League Program has been an inspiration to all of our volunteers and we are grateful for all of the time, effort, and insight that they shared to make the Little League program what it is today. 

Three dedicated volunteers have officially been elected as the newest members of the Little League Board of Directors.

We proudly welcome Joanna Tower, Andrea Roe and Travis Podolec

The Little league Board of Directors serve an important role in providing expertise, guidance and oversight to the Little League's program and set the direction of the organization's future.

Warwick Majors Softball District Champions

The girls’ major division softball team recently won the District 19 Championship in a game played at Warwick’s Memorial Park against the Montgomery team in a 5-3 win. The girls’ on the team have played together since they were seven years old and have lost in the championships the last two years.

     The game was played in front of a crowd of over 100 people. This is only Warwick Little League Softball’s second District 19 Championship ever and the first in the Major Girls 11 to 12 year old division. The team had gone undefeated in the All Star Tournament, defeating Chester, Goshen, the Walkill area, and Montgomery two times to take the title.

      The winning pitcher was Mia Rivera with five innings pitched, one hit, and zero earned runs. Olivia Martino pitched the final inning for the save. The offense was led by Eva Garofalo with two doubles and three runs batted in. Melina Garby got two hits, Katie Fiore got one triple and an RBI, and Martino hit two triples.

      The girls’ turned an amazing double play, throwing out the tying run at the plate when right fielder Lily Beattie threw out a runner on first base on what would have been a base hit, and first baseman Etta Garofalo turned and threw a strike home to her twin sister, Eva, to cut off the tying run and help preserve the win.

      The girls’ continued their quest to the Little League World Series with a game on Sat., Jun. 29 at Harrison Elementary School in the section four tournament. The head coach is Charlotte Garofalo and the assistant coaches are Nick Nicosia, Tucker Lincoln, and Jason Martino. Team members include: Eva Garofalo, Etta Garofalo, Annie Lincoln, Katie Fiore, Lily Beattie, Melina Garby, Olivia Martino, Rylee Moore, Jalyn Rosario, Kiley Cunningham, Mia Rivera, Christie Sass, and Adriana Nicosia.
